We’re here to help

If you’re unsure whether an FOI request is the right pathway, or need help understanding the process, please contact us. We can help guide you to the right place and make sure you get the support you need.

Accessing information

Freedom of Information (FOI) laws give you the right to request access to documents held by Australian Government agencies.

As our services are delivered in partnership with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), requests for access to official records, documents, or personal information are managed through DVA’s FOI process.

How to make a request

To request access to information, you can submit a Freedom of Information request directly to DVA.

DVA provides clear guidance on:

  • How to make a request
  • What information you can ask for
  • How your request will be handled
