Privacy and confidentiality
The Veteran and Family Wellbeing Agency makes it easier for veterans and families of veterans to connect to the information, community services and support they need. The Agency provides a clearer and more coordinated pathway to support both during and beyond ADF service, acting as a central point of access for wellbeing support, while also supporting those with more complex needs. It also provides support and services to families of veterans.
The Agency is committed to preserving and upholding your rights to privacy. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles which govern the ways we handle personal information.
Your information may be collected, used or disclosed with your consent or as otherwise required or permitted by law.
The Agency is administered within the Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA). When we collect personal information for the purpose of providing you with support, it is stored securely and separately from other DVA records, on shared ICT infrastructure hosted by Services Australia.
